Cadillac Escalade Wheel Bearing Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: What Tools Are Required to Service and Repair the Rear Wheel Bearing and Oil Seal on a 9.5 Inch Axle on Cadillac Escalade?
A: A set of required tools for servicing the 9.5 inch axle comprises four tools required for 9.5 inch axle service include universal driver handle (J 8092) and Wheel Bearing installer (J 29709) and Wheel Bearing remover (J 29712) and axle seal installer (J 29713). Universal driver handle (J 8092), Wheel Bearing installer (J 29709), Wheel Bearing remover (J 29712), and axle seal installer (J 29713). Start by elevating the vehicle right before you take off the tire and wheel assembly along with the rear axle housing cover. The Wheel Bearing remover (J 29712) will extract the Axle Shaft seal and bearing from the axle housing after removing the Axle Shaft. The Wheel Bearing installer (J 29709) with universal driver handle (J 8092) should guide the installation of the Axle Shaft bearing into the axle housing until the tool reaches its lowest position. Drive the new Axle Shaft seal into position with the axle seal installer (J 29713) until the tube perfectly aligns with the bull's eye. Follow the rear axle housing cover and tire and wheel assembly installation with the Axle Shaft. You should lower the vehicle after finishing the axle fluid filling process with correct lubricating materials.
