How to Service and Repair the Fuel Pressure Sensor on Cadillac XLR?

The first step for Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor replacement involves taking off both the right rear wheelhouse liner panel and the EVAP canister access cover. The right side fuel tank module contains the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector which needs disconnection before using tools to extract the fuel tank pressure sensor from its place inside the fuel tank. Clean engine oil should be applied to the rubber grommet of the fuel tank pressure sensor before installing it. Enter the fuel tank pressure sensor into the top of the fuel tank module and restore its electrical connection. Finish the repair by reassembling the EVAP canister access cover then the right rear wheelhouse liner panel.
