How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet Astro?

Service of the Throttle Position Sensor begins with Battery Cable disconnection and removal of the engine cover. Start by disconnecting the tp sensor harness connector followed by removing the tp sensor mounting bolts. Keep the tp sensor free from direct exposure to liquid chemicals because it has electrical elements which could become damaged. After disconnecting the negative Battery Cable and removing the engine cover you should remove the Throttle Body assembly tp sensor with its gasket. When installing this component make sure the throttle valve stays closed before mounting the tp sensor onto the throttle shaft with counterclockwise rotation for matching the holes. Users must attach tp sensor mounting bolts before applying 2 n.m (17 lb in) torque to them. Reconnect the tp sensor harness connector before installing the engine cover followed by reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
