The initial step for replacing Power Steering Cooler pipe/hose with hydroboost requires removing the front grille and positioning a drain pan under the vehicle. Drain the reservoir fluid to avoid unnecessary contamination. Begin by disengaging the clamp which fastens the Power Steering Cooler inlet hose to the power steering gear as well as the clamp holding the Power Steering Cooler outlet hose to the
Power Steering Pump. The Power Steering Cooler needs removal from the vehicle after you detach its retaining bolts from the radiator support. The installation requires positioning the Power Steering Cooler onto the radiator support followed by securing the bolts at 5 n.m (44 lb in). Fit the Power Steering Cooler outlet hose to Power Steering Pump by installing its retaining clamp. Secure both ends of the power steering inlet hose with retaining clamps at the power steering gear. Complete power steering system filling before bleeding the system. After that, inspect all hose connections for leakage followed by front grille reinstallation.
