    Q:
How to replace the power steering hose inlet with hydroboost on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
A drain pan under the vehicle should be installed first when changing the power steering gear inlet pipe/hose to hydroboost. First remove the power steering gear inlet hose from the Brake Booster after which you must remove it from the power steering gear before taking it out of the vehicle. When installing the hose position the route the same way as before removal then secure the power steering gear inlet hose to the Brake Booster with just hand tight fittings. When installing the power steering gear inlet hose users must mount it to the power steering gear before securing both connecting points at 28 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Complete the installation process before removing the drain pan from below the vehicle and performing power steering system bleeding.

    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose with hydroboost on GMC Sierra 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacement of the Power Steering Cooler pipe/hose with hydroboost by taking off the front grille followed by putting a drain pan under the vehicle. The first step should be siphoning fluid from the reservoir to avoid spills while unclamping the hose connecting the Power Steering Cooler inlet to the gear and the outlet hose to the pump. The bolts which maintain the Power Steering Cooler to the radiator support need to be removed before carefully extracting the Power Steering Cooler from the vehicle. Complete the Power Steering Cooler installation by mounting it on the radiator support then secure the bolts to 5 nm (44 inch lbs.). The installation includes attaching the Power Steering Cooler outlet hose to the Power Steering Pump while using its retaining clamp followed by routing the power steering inlet hose to the power steering gear with a matching retaining clamp. Bleeding and filling operations should be completed for the power steering system while checking for leaks in all hose connections before you restore the front grille.
