Chevrolet Aveo Knock Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the knock sensor on Chevrolet Aveo?
A: The replacement process for a Knock Sensor starts by disconnecting the black negative Battery Cable. The next step involves removing the bracket bolts from the intake manifold and then separating the bracket. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector attached to the Knock Sensor (KS). After this disconnect the bolt and extract the Knock Sensor from its position. The ks requires installation through the bolt while using 20 n.m of torque (15 lb ft force). First reconnect the ks electrical connector before reinstalling the intake manifold bracket with its bolts while tightening the upper bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) and the lower bolt to 45 n.m (33 lb ft). Reattach the negative Battery Cable when wrapping up the procedure.
