    To replace the Knock Sensor absent variable camshaft phasing, disconnect the negative Battery Cable first. Then, undo the intake manifold bracket bolts, intake manifold bracket and disconnect the Knock Sensor (KS) electrical connector. Unbolt the Knock Sensor and extract the Knock Sensor. For installation, lock the ks with the bolt to tighten at 20 nm (15 lb ft). Refit the ks electrical connector, the intake manifold bracket, and its bolts, tightening the upper bolt to 25 nm (18 lb ft); lower bolt to 45 nm (33 lb ft). Lastly, reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
