  A: Before handling the sway bar link for replacement follow steps listed in Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice in Service Precautions while having the front suspension hang freely with proper vehicle lift support. Pull the front wheel before you remove the sway bar-to-knuckle nut followed by the shaft-to-link nut. To exchange the sway bar you must remove the sway bar link assembly while detaching the shaft from the knuckle. When installing the sway bar drive the shaft into its proper position before fastening it with sway bar-to-knuckle and shaft-to-link hardware while tightening link nuts to 50 Nm torque (37 ft. lbs.). Perform these steps according to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. The last step involves installing the front wheel followed by lowering the vehicle.
