The replacement of the Fuel Pressure Sensor in the fuel injection Fuel Rail begins by removing both the cross vehicle brace together with the Intake Manifold followed by extraction of the foam insulator from the fuel rails. Do not place any force directly on the plastic sensor housing but apply force only on the hexagon components attached to it. Fasten the new Fuel Pressure Sensor to the fuel injection Fuel Rail by torquing it to 33 nm (25 lb ft). Replace the foam insulator along with the Intake Manifold. A faulty Fuel Rail demands complete replacement when fuel leakage happens at this location. Before inspecting for leaks turn the ignition on with the engine off for 2 seconds, wait 10 seconds for the ignition off state followed by turning on the ignition with the engine off before inspecting for leakage. As a final step replace the cross vehicle brace installation.
