  One needs to unplug the cruiser control module first by separating the negative Battery Cable and electrical connector. Open the throttle body cam slightly then disconnect the cruise control cable from the throttle body cam lever before removing both items from the throttle body bracket and the retaining clip on the engine. To disconnect the cruise control cable from the Cruise Control Module work the cable ¼ turn counterclockwise and free the cable slug from the ribbon buckle before moving the cable from the engine compartment. Begin installation by extracting the nuts from the Cruise Control Module mounting bracket followed by the bolts from the module before taking it out of the engine compartment. Position the new Cruise Control Module into its bracket retainer until it fully seats before securing the mounting bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). After mounting the module inside the engine compartment tighten all nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in) while maintaining ribbon smoothness. Connect the cruise control cable slug to the ribbon buckle after inserting the cable into the module properly so its seal contacts it. You must align the narrow and wide tabs correctly and maintain the adjuster tab positioning toward the vehicle's front. First torque the cable clockwise into place at the module before reconnecting the electrical connector. After placing the engine retainer clip along with the throttle body bracket guide the cruise control cable toward complete insertion until smooth enclosure. First adjust the throttle body cam slightly by opening it slightly before connecting the cable to the throttle body cam lever and adjusting the cable for any detected slack before ultimately reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
