Detaching the Throttle Body assembly begins with the deactivation of the negative Battery Cable. Take the air cleaner resonator off the Throttle Body, then pull the electrical connectors from the idle air control (IAC) valve, and the throttle position (TP) sensor. Unplug the vacuum hoses from the Throttle Body, and the accelerator cable and cruise control cable if available, as well as remove the accelerator cable bracket. Next, remove Throttle Body attaching bolts and throw it out of the Intake Manifold.
