How to replace the Back Up Light Switch on Chevrolet Cobalt?

Before changing the back up lamp switch, first remove the left front wheel. Unplug the back up lamp connector and take out the back up lamp switch assembly. When installing the new switch, plug it in using a socket only to prevent damage to the switch assembly and apply the pipe sealant making sure that you follow the correct sealant part number. Tighten the switch to 33 Nm (24 lb ft), reconnect the back up lamp connector , and lastly, reinstall the left front wheel.
