How to replace the exhaust manifold on a 2.2L engine on Chevrolet Cobalt?

The replacement of a 2.2l engine Exhaust Manifold starts with taking off the intake manifold cover. The secondary air injection (AIR) check valve should be removed when the vehicle carries rpo nu3. Removing the Exhaust Manifold heat shield together with the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) represents the next step. First lift the vehicle and afterward support it before separating the Catalytic Converter assembly. Lower the vehicle before removing Exhaust Manifold nuts and the Exhaust Manifold as a unit before disposing of the Exhaust Manifold Gasket. The gasket installation starts by carefully reading the mating surface of all components whereas next you should connect the Exhaust Manifold onto engine while attaching the new gasket onto the studs. Use new Exhaust Manifold nuts then apply torque to a specification of 14 nm (10 lb ft). Building support under the vehicle will let you mount the Catalytic Converter assembly in position. The technician needs to reinstall the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) after completing the vehicle lowering process. The air check valve must be installed when rpo nu3 is present on the vehicle.
