Chevrolet Corvette Sway Bar Link Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear suspension sway bar link on Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Starting the rear suspension Sway Bar Link replacement requires vehicle lifting and support. First detach wheel assemblies along with their tires from the vehicle. A back up wrench should be used to hold the link stud stationary while you remove the Sway Bar Link nuts from lower Control Arm locations. Then detach the sway bar together with its links from the shaft. Wrenches are used as back up tools during installation so the link stud does not turn while installing the sway bar links and link nuts to their proper locations on the shaft and crossmember. Tighten Sway Bar Link nuts to 72 nm (53 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the tire and wheel assemblies followed by lowering the vehicle.
