How to replace the valve rocker arm and push rods on Chevrolet Equinox?

A mechanic should start valve Rocker Arm and push rod replacement by removing all valve Rocker Arm covers. Start by removing the Rocker Arm bolts after which you can pull out the valve Rocker Arm(s) along with their pushrods. Apply gm prelube product gm p/n 1052367 (Canadian P/N 992869) or equivalent prelube solution to the ends of push rods before installation. The intake valve push rods measure 146.0 mm (5.75 in) in length whereas exhaust valve push rods stretch to 152.5 mm (6.0 in). On the original push rod locations place the rods before applying same prelube material on the Rocker Arm friction areas. The application of reconditioning work to Cylinder Head elements or their components will require shims beneath valve Rocker Arm pedestals. Putting the valve rocker arms back into their designated positions must be done by following fastener caution guidelines. Fasten the valve Rocker Arm bolts with 32 nm (24 lb ft) torque. Complete the operation by putting back the valve Rocker Arm covers.
