How to replace the starter motor on Chevrolet Equinox?

The Starter motor replacement process starts with disconnecting the battery negative cable. Use appropriate methods of vehicle support to correctly elevate the system. Detach the electrical wires from the Starter motor solenoid positive terminal nut before removing the solenoid s terminal nut as well as its electrical wire. Begin by removing the torque converter cover bolt and then taking out the torque converter cover itself. Start by removing the bolts (2,3) from the Starter motor followed by the Starter motor itself. Place the Starter motor correctly into position and lock it into place with the Starter motor bolts (2, 3) while tightening them to 43 n.m (32 lb ft). Fasten the torque converter cover in place through the torque converter cover bolt while tightening it to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Begin the installation of the Starter solenoid s terminal electrical wire accompanied by its nut then tighten both components until the torque reaches 3 n.m (27 lb in). Next connect the tabs for the positive terminal electrical wires and their nut, and tighten to 10 n.m (89 lb in). End the process by lowering the vehicle while reconnecting the battery negative cable.
