  A: The replacement process for the lnj Starter motor requires vehicle elevation with the negative Battery Cable disconnected. Disconnect the Starter Solenoid's engine wiring harness electrical connector before removing the Starter Solenoid nut and both the positive Battery Cable terminal and the engine wiring harness terminal from it. Start by uninstalling the torque converter cover bolt and torque converter cover. Once the cover is removed move on to the Starter motor bolts (2, 3) to detach the motor from the vehicle. Start with placement of the Starter motor according to the fastener notice before installation. Tighten Starter motor bolts (2, 3) to 43 n.m (32 lb ft). Secure the torque converter cover using its bolt which requires a torque value of 8 n.m (71 lb in). Start by attaching the positive Battery Cable terminal to the Starter Solenoid along with the engine wiring harness terminal and finish the installation by torquing the Starter Solenoid nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in). With the vehicle lowered position the Starter engine harness electrical connector to the Starter then replace the negative Battery Cable.
