How to replace the ignition lock cylinder on Chevrolet Express 3500?

Begin lock cylinder replacement by disconnecting the battery negative cable and disabling the sir system. Start by taking off the steering column trim covers before moving the Ignition Lock Cylinder to its start position. Push down the retaining pin by inserting an awl's tip through the opening of the Ignition Lock Cylinder. Pull the Ignition Lock Cylinder away from the steering column when it reaches the run position. To install the lock module place the positioning locking tab slot on the lock cylinder into the corresponding tab on the Ignition Lock Cylinder before pushing the cylinder towards the lock module until the tab securely locks. The procedure includes reinstalling steering column trim covers followed by enabling the sir system and reattaching the negative Battery Cable and completing the passlock learn procedure.
