Chevrolet HHR TPMS Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the TPMS Sensor on Chevrolet HHR?
A: Before changing the Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor, lift the vehicle by using a proper support. Next, slide off the tire/wheel assembly off the vehicle, then slide the tire off the wheel. In case some of the components of tire pressure sensors are damaged, replace them. Get rid of the tire air by conducting deflation and unfasten the tire pressure sensor indicator cap, and lastly, the tire pressure sensor indicator nut. Do not use the seal while extracting the tire pressure sensor; rather, replace it with a new one. I will remove the tire pressure sensor seal, the washer, and the tire pressure sensor. Clean the surrounding of the mounting point for the tire pressure sensor and install the washer and the seal for the tire pressure sensor. Mount the tire pressure sensor on the wheel and tighten the nut using your hands while making sure that the sensor is parallel to the inner wheel surface during torquing. Mount the nut onto the tire pressure sensor, and tighten it to 7 Nm (62 lb in). Mount the tire back onto the wheel, then the tire/wheel assembly back on the vehicle. Finally, deflate the vehicle and learn the tire pressure sensors.
