How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir for the CB Series on Chevrolet Impala?

Start the CB Series Power Steering Reservoir replacement process by fixing the hydraulic pump on a smooth surface so its shaft points upward. A screwdriver should be used to expand the tab on the retaining clip while the reservoir clip should move away from the hydraulic pump assembly. You need to repeat the same process to displace the second reservoir clip before extracting the reservoir from the hydraulic pump housing. Discard both original O-ring seals by taking them out from the reservoir neck area or the hydraulic pump housing location. Apply power steering fluid to the new O-ring seal then put it onto the fluid port of the reservoir. Apply the reservoir onto the hydraulic pump assembly with full engagement of the reservoir neck. The reservoir feet must align with the sides of the hydraulic pump housing before installing new clips that come with the pump unit while ensuring each retaining clip tab finds total contact on the pump housing.
