How to Replace a Power Steering Hose for a 3.8L Engine for Pressure Hose on Chevrolet Impala?

As a first step to replace the power steering pressure pipe/hose (3.8L) the user must place a drain pan beneath the vehicle then detach the accessory Drive Belt. The first step is vehicle suspension and tire removal before taking out the tire and wheel assembly. The power steering pressure hose runs at the bottom section of the power steering gear and Power Steering Pump so detachment from both units allows you to remove it from the clamps that secure it to the gear. The new power steering pressure hose should be inserted into the vehicle at its designated location before the clamp installation on the power steering gear and Power Steering Pump connection. Secure the fitting to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.) before you connect it to the steering gear along with a matching torque specification on the pressure hose fitting. After tiring and wheeled assembly replacement take the drain pan out and lower the vehicle while installing the accessory Drive Belt.
