How to replace the left rear parking brake cable on Chevrolet Lumina?

The first step to replace the left rear parking brake cable demands that you raise and properly support the vehicle. First loosen the brake cable at the equalizer and after that separate the left rear cable both from the front cable connector clip and from the front cable guide. The vehicle's rear underbody bracket allows the cable removal with help from the Park Brake Cable Release Tool (J 37043) before proceeding to detach from the backing plate and the parking brake lever. You should insert the new parking brake cable into the equalizer before placing it through the front cable guide while attaching the cable conduit to the equalizer.
