Start the push rod service by taking out the valve Rocker Arm covers along with the Rocker Arm bolts then the rockerarms. A designated rack should hold the valve train parts before reinstalation for precise original placement. The intake pushrods extend for 144.18 mm (5.68 inch) and exhaust pushrods reach 152.51 mm (6.0 inch). Attention must be given to Pushrod removal since these components can enter the lifter valley. All bearing surfaces of the rocker arms along with the Rocker Arm bolts and pushrods must be coated with prelube (GM P/N 1052365 or its equivalent) before reinstalling the components in their original positions. Prelube the Pushrod ends before installing the intake valve pushrods followed by the installation of exhaust valve pushrods according to the specifications. Install each Rocker Arm and bolt into its place while securing the bolt to 14 nm (124 in. Lbs.) with another 30 degrees of rotation. Repair the process by replacing all valve Rocker Arm covers into their proper positions.
