How to replace the Dipstick Tube on Chevrolet S10?

You need to begin tube and oil level indicator replacement by removing the oil level indicator along with the right Exhaust Manifold. Remove the oil level indicator tube bolt followed by slow twisting motion of the oil level indicator tube to separate it from the engine. Wipe away all previous sealer residues from both the oil level indicator tube along with the engine block before moving forward. The engine block requires application of gm p/n 12346004 or equivalent sealer at a 13 mm (0.5 inch) distance below the tube bead before placing the oil level indicator tube into position. The oil level indicator tube bolt needs to be tightened until it reaches 12 nm (106 inch lbs.). As the last step of repair install the right Exhaust Manifold followed by the oil level indicator.
