    First start by safely raising the vehicle and setting up a drain pan on the ground before moving forward with Rack And Pinion service and repair work. Wheels and tires should be removed and the outer tie rods need their retaining nuts removed. Driving a wedge between joint and attached part helps avoid disconnecting steering linkage and protects the seal from damage. Use the steering linkage and tie rod puller (J 24319-B) for eliminating outer tie rod connections from Steering Knuckles. First disconnect the lower intermediate shaft from the Rack And Pinion followed by removing the steering gear crossmember and finally disassembling the Power Steering Hose assembly by unwinding its retaining bolt then removing it from the Rack And Pinion. Support the Rack And Pinion assembly before removing its mounting bolts for gear extraction from the vehicle. Begin Rack And Pinion installation by mounting the outer tie rods followed by returning the Rack And Pinion to its place in the vehicle. Tighten the Rack And Pinion mounting bolts at 110 nm (81 ft.
