  First, raise and support the vehicle to change the Muffler. Unscrew the twc nuts from the Catalytic Converter assembly and disassemble it from the resonator/Muffler/Tail Pipe assembly. Next step is to unscrew the hangers that support the resonator/Muffler/Tail Pipe assembly and swing the assembly out of the car. Clean the gasket and the seal mating areas prior to the installation of the new resonator/Muffler/Tail Pipe assembly. During installation, always work with new gaskets and seals. Mount the resonator/Muffler/Tail Pipe assembly on the vehicle and attach it with hangers. Mount the assembly with a new gasket to the Catalytic Converter assembly and tighten twc nuts, but do not fully tighten them as yet. Before tighting the fasteners to attach the system components to each other, line all the system components up to avoid the creation of noise or vibration and then tighten the Catalytic Converter to resonator/Muffler/tailpipe assembly bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.

  Before working to service and mend the Muffler, lift and stabilize the vehicle. Remove two nuts from the Catalytic Converter assembly and detach it from the resonator/Muffler/tail pipe assembly. Next, we will remove the hangers supporting the resonator/Muffler/tail pipe assembly and pull the assembly out from the vehicle. Clean the gasket and the mating face of seal before installing a new component of exhaust system and must remember to use new gasket and seals. Mount the resonator/Muffler/tail pipe assembly onto the vehicle and hold it in place with hangers. Connect the resonator/Muffler/tail pipe assembly with a new gasket to the Catalytic Converter assembly and tighten it using two nuts, which should not be completely tightened as of now. All system components must be aligned to avoid making noise or vibrations before tightening the fasteners, and the Catalytic Converter to resonator/Muffler/tail pipe assembly bolts must be tighten to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
