Chevrolet Uplander Power Steering Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir on Chevrolet Uplander?
A: Begin reservoir replacement by fixing the Power Steering Pump on a flat stationary surface where its shaft faces up towards the ceiling. Pushing the screwdriver underneath the Power Steering Reservoir retaining clip tabs frees them from the Power Steering Pump assembly before removing them completely from the vehicle. Remove the Power Steering Reservoir from the Power Steering Pump along with discarding its o-ring seal. The installation of the new Power Steering Reservoir o-ring seal requires power steering fluid as a lubricant before fitting it to the Power Steering Reservoir neck. Install the Power Steering Reservoir onto the Power Steering Pump while fully engaging the neck to stop any leaking. Install the Power Steering Reservoir at the Power Steering Pump while correcting its alignment then use the 2 retaining clips to secure the assembly by pressing their tabs into place. The Power Steering Pump installation should conclude with its reinstallation.
