How to replace the exhaust Camshaft Position Sensor on GMC Canyon?

The first procedure for replacing the exhaust camshaft position (CMP) sensor requires users to disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector that connects to the exhaust cmp sensor. Begin by removing the retaining bolt securing the exhaust cmp sensor and then extract the sensor out from the Cylinder Head. Clean engine oil should be applied lightly to the o-ring before sliding the exhaust cmp sensor into the Cylinder Head opening. Follow the fastener notice in service precautions while securing the sensor with the bolt which needs to be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Active step is to reinstall the engine wiring harness electrical connector back to the exhaust cmp sensor.
