The first replacement step involves removing the fuel hoses from their retainers at both locations which include the oil level indicator bracket as well as the
Intake Manifold. After pulling out the oil level indicator from its tube position remove the oil level indicator tube bolt. The engine
Oil Pan requires removal of the oil level indicator tube during replacement. Cover an o-ring seal with clean engine oil before placing the oil level indicator tube inside the engine Oil Pan while keeping close attention to the service precautions for fastener installation. Use 10 nm torque (89 inch lbs) to tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt and afterward install the indicator into its tube. Install the fuel hoses into the retainers which connect both their positions to the oil level indicator bracket and the Intake Manifold.
