How to replace the rear axle shaft on GMC Jimmy?

Begin by removing the pinion shaft locking bolt after you take off both the rear cover and its installed gasket. When maintaining axles which lack locking differentials users need to remove their pinion shafts first. Place the correct fluid into the rear axle before lowering the vehicle.
