When taking the J 36202 away from the adjuster arm, slide the torsion bar on and pull out the adjustment arm and take a note of the L and R markings at the front of the torsion bar as one bar is used on a different side. Lower the front end of the torsion bar and push it to the front. For installation, it should use a correct torsion bar, lubricate adjuster arm and bolt with axle grease, and place the torsion bar adjuster arm. Set the adjustment bolt and retaining nut then use J 36202 to adjust the tension on the torsion bar. Mount the J 36202 to the adjuster arm and lock the adjustment bolt at the setting that had previously been noted. Release tension on the torsion bar with the J 36202 let the load be taken up by the adjustment bolt then remove J 36202. Finally, adjust the vehicle down and check Z height.
