How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on GMC Safari?

Before replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) users must raise the vehicle to a proper height. Remove the harness connector and the bolt next. Prepare the drain pan under the vehicle base and use the J 38417 Speed Sensor Remover (J 38417) to disconnect the vehicle speed sensor before removing the O-ring seal. The J 38417 Speed Sensor Remover (J 38417) should be used to install the new speed sensor along with the O-ring seal while applying a thin transmission fluid film on the seal during assembly. Install the bolt and tighten it to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.)Reconnect the harness connector after tightening the bolt to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.). After completing installation of the new speed sensor and tightening the bolt to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.) proceed to lower the vehicle and perform any required fluid refills.
