GMC Savana 1500 Washer Pump Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Windshield Washer Pump on GMC Savana 1500?
A: Open the hood to reach the washing system's components. Support the hood to avoid accidents. Disconnect the upper fender support and washer solvent container bolt. You can pull up the washer solvent container to reach the washer hose and electrical connector. Disconnect them at the washer pump and place a cap on the opening to contain the solvent. Take the washer solvent container out of the car. Put the solvent into a safe container. Then separate the washer pump from the container and its cap. Insert the new washer pump into the washer solvent container then lock it with the container cap. Position the washer solvent container into chassis holes then attach its bolt and washer hose to the new washer pump while connecting the electrical connector. Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in). Put back the upper fender support while filling the washer solvent container and shutting the hood.
