A: Check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir before work begins. If fluid sits between the marks indicating the operating range, no fluid needs to be drained but draining is necessary when it reaches the top mark. First lift the vehicle then take off the tire and wheel unit from below. Use a c-clamp to push the caliper pistons slowly to bottom position before relocating them. Secure the brake caliper with strong mechanic's wire when you disconnect it from its mount and keep the hydraulic flexible brake hose connected to avoid damage. Take out the caliper from its bracket while keeping the hydraulic brake hose secured to check the caliper parts. Take off brake pads from the Brake Caliper Bracket and keep their installation order in mind before getting rid of the anti-rattle clips. Install the brake caliper on the bracket and attach its new anti-rattle clips before adding brake pads according to their removal orientation. Put back the tire and wheel parts then lower down the vehicle before applying the brake pedal gently from zero position up to 2/3 of its range. Push the brake pedal down 15 times to ensure brake caliper pistons and brake pads move into the correct position. Complete the brake fluid reservoir with fresh fluid before executing Brake Pad and rotor break-in procedures.
