Prior to servicing and repairing the Fuel Pressure Regulator users must disconnect the negative Battery Cable followed by fuel system pressure relief. Remove the upper manifold assembly. The leakage examination of the regulator filter screen should occur first before reinstallation. Regulatory replacement occurs when the screen reveals contamination. Begin by removing the Fuel Pressure Regulator snap ring retainer after which the regulator assembly needs disassembly before discarding the o-rings. Apply engine oil to new o-rings prior to installing the back up o-ring followed by the large o-ring then the filter along with the small o-ring. Beginning with the vacuum tube facing downwards, fit the regulator inside the snap ring retainer. Assembly of the upper manifold follows while connecting the negative Battery Cable finally concludes the procedure.
