Fuel Pressure Regulator

A service or repair operation on the Fuel Pressure Regulator requires first draining the fuel system pressure from the system. Next install the new Fuel Pressure Regulator retainer followed by reconnecting the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum hose before putting on the fuel fill cap. Follow the above Battery Cable reconnection procedures and inspect for fuel leaks by applying this protocol: turning on the ignition while keeping the engine off for 2 seconds followed by a 10-second period where you turn it off afterward and proceed to turn it on again with the engine off before inspecting for any fuel leaks.
