How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on GMC Savana 3500?

To service the Throttle Position Sensor, disconnect the negative cable of the battery and remove the engine cover. Next, disconnect the harness connector from the throttle position (TP) sensor and remove the tp sensor attaching fasteners be careful not to allow the tp sensor to get wet with any liquid cleaner or solvent that can harm tp sensor. Take out the tp sensor from the Throttle Body assembly, make sure the throttle valve is closed and replace the new tp sensor on the throttle shaft, rotating it counter clockwise until the mounting holes line up. Install the tp sensor attaching fasteners, tightening it to 2 n.m (18 lb in), then reconnect the tp sensor harness connector, reinstall the engine cover, and reconnect the negative Battery Cable.
