Rephrase: before you start working on the lower
Control Arm Ball Joint you need to lift and position your vehicle. When needed take out the wheel drive shaft from its position. Secure and move the knuckle away from the lower Control Arm before taking out the
Steering Knuckle from the vehicle. Carry out removal of locking tabs on the Ball Joint body through hammer chiseling action. Rest the ch 41805 Ball Joint remover install kit on the Control Arm and use a thin socket to take off the lower Ball Joint from the Control Arm. Put the new joint in the lower Control Arm with teeth of the locking tabs facing up if you use adapter ch-49240-2. Add both the ch 41805 - kit and ch-49240-3 tool to the ch-49240-2 then ch-49240-1 connector for installing the Ball Joint. Reverse the ch-49240-2 installation setup. Push the Ball Joint edges until they form lock tabs before securing the ch-49240-3 to 250 nm (184 lb ft). Do this repeated action on all lock tabs to normalize their depth and size. Follow the same procedures while rotating the ch 41805 - kit another 180 degrees around. When necessary push back in the wheel drive shaft then place the Steering Knuckle into its normal position. Place the lower Ball Joint stud nut and tighten it 50 nm first before applying another 95 degrees on final tightening. Lower the vehicle after removing the holding equipment.
