How to replace the Air Bag Sensor in the Front End on GMC Sierra 1500 Classic?

First of all, disable the SIR system when changing the Inflatable Restraint Front End Sensor. Pull out the connector position assurance (CPA) from the connector and detach the electrical connector. Next, pull off the sensor bolt and extract its sensor from the car. Before you install, wipe dirt, grease or other impurities off the mounting surface. Make sure the arrow on the sensor points to the front part of the vehicle and anchor the sensor horizontally to the radiator support with a tightening force of 9 N.m (79 lb in). Reconnect the electrical connector to the sensor and install the CPA. Finally, enable the SIR system.
