For assembly, put the new wiper arm on the wiper motor shaft while it is in park, make sure it sits on the park ramp, and tighten it with the nut until you reach 23 N.m (17 lb ft), following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Afterwards, put the cap back on the wiper arm and attach the washer hose to the car.

Set the new wiper arm on top of the wiper motor shaft in the park position when it naturally stops against the park ramp. Set the wiper arm in place then fasten the nut with torque 23 N.m (17 lb ft). Replace the washer hose into its original connection point before putting back the wiper arm cap.

Fit the retaining nut to the wiper transmission drive shaft and the wiper arm, and torque it to 23 N.m (17 lb ft). Lastly, after inserting the washer inside the washer hole, reinstall the cover on the wiper arm nut.
