    Put the wiper arm in the park position as the first step. Take off the washer hose from the vehicle connector, and then take out the cap and nut on the wiper arm. Take the wiper arm off the wiper motor shaft. For assembly, put the new wiper arm on the wiper motor shaft while it is in park, make sure it sits on the park ramp, and tighten it with the nut until you reach 23 N.m (17 lb ft), following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Afterwards, put the cap back on the wiper arm and attach the washer hose to the car.

Uninstall the washer hose from vehicle port and then take off the cap and nut from the wiper arm. Remove the wiper arm from the motor shaft. Set the new wiper arm on top of the wiper motor shaft in the park position when it naturally stops against the park ramp. Set the wiper arm in place then fasten the nut with torque 23 N.m (17 lb ft). Replace the washer hose into its original connection point before putting back the wiper arm cap.

For installation, place it in line with marks drawn on the windshield and press it down onto the wiper transmission drive shaft completely. Fit the retaining nut to the wiper transmission drive shaft and the wiper arm, and torque it to 23 N.m (17 lb ft). Lastly, after inserting the washer inside the washer hole, reinstall the cover on the wiper arm nut.
