    Q:
How to replace the radiator fan on Chevrolet Astro? Posted by Customer
    A:
The essential tools for replacing the Radiator fan include the Fan Clutch wrench (J41240) as the first step. The first step involves taking off the upper Fan Shroud before you can remove the Fan Clutch with the Fan Clutch wrench (J41240). The replacement of the Radiator fan starts with fan and Fan Blade clutch assembly removal from the vehicle then continuing with unscrewing the four bolts that hold the Fan Blade to the Fan Blade clutch. You should begin by detaching the fan from the Fan Blade clutch. The first step for assembly involves connecting the fan to the Fan Blade clutch while strictly following the instructions provided in the service precautions for fasteners. Install the Fan Blade to the clutch by screwing four bolts while applying torque to 33 nm (24 ft. Lbs.). The installation requires the Fan Clutch wrench (J41240) to fasten the Fan Blade clutch assembly to 56 nm (41 ft. Lbs.) torque while finishing with the upper Fan Shroud reattachment.
