    Q:
How to replace the right side engine mount bracket on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the replacement of the right side Engine Mount Bracket by supporting the vehicle with a jack set under the Oil Pan using a suitable block. Apply the screw jack to lift the engine after removing the lower mount retaining nut until the mount experiences no weight. The replacement procedure starts by taking off the upper Engine Mount retaining nut then extracting the Engine Mount from the vehicle before starting with the Starter removal by keeping the Engine Mount heat shield undamaged. The right Engine Mount Bracket receives its removal through disassembly of bolt attachments while extracting the Engine Mount Bracket from its position. Mount the Engine Mount Bracket to the vehicle before you tighten its m 10 Engine Mount Bracket mounting bolts to 60 n.m (44 lb ft) while the m 8 Engine Mount Bracket mounting bolt requires a torque of 38 n.m (28 lb ft). Fasten the Starter along with the Engine Mount before securing the upper Engine Mount retaining nut at 80 n.m (59 lb ft). Screw jack operation should lower the engine down until it reaches the mount position before tightening the Engine Mount retaining nut to 80 n.m (59 lb ft). Lower the vehicle after removing both the screw jack and wooden block positioning from beneath the Oil Pan.
