2007 Cadillac CTS Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the right side engine mount on 2007 Cadillac CTS?
A: The replacement of the right side Engine Mount requires that you first raise and properly support the vehicle. Platform the vehicle while installing a screw jack beneath the Oil Pan with supporting wood. You need to remove the lower Engine Mount retaining nut after which you should use the screw jack to lift the engine until the mount receives no weight. Move your tools toward replacing the right side Engine Mount by removing its upper mount retaining nut followed by the complete removal of the Engine Mount from the vehicle. Install the Engine Mount positioning it correctly before screwing in the upper mount retaining nut to 80 n.m (59 lb ft). First use the screw jack to lower the engine until the mounting weight rests on the bracket before installing both Engine Mount retaining nuts which reach a torque of 80 n.m (59 lb ft). Finish the installation by taking out the screw jack along with the wood block from underneath the Oil Pan then lower the vehicle down.
