    Q:
How to replace the ABS Control Module on GMC Savana 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the replacement of the ABS Control Module requires users to disconnect the negative Battery Cable. First elevate your vehicle and afterward unfasten the brake modulator shield mounting nuts and the bolt if the vehicle uses such hardware. Before disconnecting the ABS Control Module electrical connector it is essential to clean its surroundings together with the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). Carefully operate the ABS Control Module off the bpmv after removing its bolts and discarding them. Utilize denatured alcohol along with a clean shop cloth to clean the sealing surface of the bpmv. The new ABS Control Module needs installation onto the bpmv while avoiding component deformation. Use newly installed ABS Control Module bolts to cross-tighten them until they reach 3 nm (27 lb in). To breathe life into the brake modulator shield install both mounting nuts first which must be tightened to 25 nm (18 lb ft) before combining the brake modulator shield mounting bolt for further tightening to 25 nm (18 lb ft). Have the vehicle mostly dropped when you reattach its negative Battery Cable. The control module references document contains all required information about programming and setup.
