    The first task for accelerator controls cable replacement involves removing the engine sight shield followed by disconnecting the cable from the throttle body lever. First disconnect the accelerator cable from its position on the cable bracket and detach it from the mounting bracket of the engine sight shield. Begin by removing the left instrument panel (IP) insulator followed by disconnection of the accelerator cable retainer that is attached to the accelerator pedal lever . Pull the cover tangs of the accelerator cable to open space for pushing the cable through the dash panel for removal. To install the system first pass the accelerator cable through the dash panel while making sure the cover tangs are able to snap into place. Put the cable through the slot of the accelerator pedal lever before seating the retainer properly inside the lever. You should attach the accelerator cable to the throttle body lever before fitting it into the bracket slot where it locks itself into place under the locking tab. The cable clip installation goes into the engine sight shield mounting bracket before performing a functional check by operating the accelerator pedal to validate complete throttle movement from complete closure to wide open throttle (WOT) with no cable restrictions. Replace the engine sight shield together with the left ip insulator into their proper positions.

The new accelerator cable installation starts with putting the cable through the dash panel followed by checking that the cover tangs properly fit. Drill the cable through the slot located at the accelerator pedal lever before placing the retainer inside its position. Connect the accelerator cable to the throttle body lever, insert it through the slot on the accelerator cable bracket before fastening the locking tab to complete. Check the throttle range by pedaling the accelerator pedal while making sure the throttle moves without any restriction between full opening and shutting. After that, attach the cable to the engine sight shield mounting bracket. To conclude the repair work position back the engine sight shield together with the left instrument panel insulator.
