    Q:
How to replace the throttle cable on Chevrolet Express 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the procedure to replace the accelerator controls cable requires the engine cover and air cleaner outlet resonator removal. The first step in cable replacement involves separating the accelerator cable from the throttle lever, engine cable bracket and bulkhead and accelerator pedal. Start cable installation with the bulkhead then connect it to the accelerator pedal followed by engine cable bracket before attaching to the throttle lever. Reinstall the air cleaner outlet resonator and engine cover after finishing the process.

    Q:
How to replace the throttle cable on Chevrolet Express 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process of replacing the accelerator controls cable starts by removing the engine cover along with the air cleaner assembly. Remove the cable connecting the accelerator pedal to the throttle body lever before taking it away from the cable holder. Begin by unclipping the accelerator cable first from the engine sight shield mounting bracket and afterward from the generator bracket then remove the left instrument panel insulator. To replace the accelerator controls cable the accelerator cable retainer must be disconnected from the accelerator pedal lever through dash panel manipulation by squeezing the accelerator cable cover tangs after pushing the cable outside the panel. To attach the accelerator cable users should first pass it through the dash panel before pressing the accelerator cable cover tangs into position. Place the accelerator cable into the slot of the accelerator pedal lever and set the retainer into its proper position. Users should connect the accelerator cable to the throttle body lever while inserting this entire unit into the slot of the accelerator cable bracket. The engine sight shield mounting bracket's locking tab should then be snapped into position. Secure the accelerator cable on both the generator bracket and engine sight shield mounting bracket. Use pedal motion to check complete opening and shutting of the throttle while verifying smooth and boundary-free movements across full closed throttle and wide open throttle (WOT). After repairing the indicated components put back the left instrument panel insulator then install the engine cover and the air cleaner assembly.

How to replace the throttle cable on Chevrolet Express 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to change the accelerator controls cable requires removing the engine cover and the air cleaner assembly. First reverse the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever then take it out from the cable bracket. The first steps involve unclipping the accelerator cable from both engine sight shield mounting bracket and generator bracket before removing left instrument panel (IP) insulator. Squeeze the retainer of the accelerator pedal lever to disengage it from the retaining mechanism. Slide the cable through the dash panel while using your fingers to push the accelerator cable cover tangs . Finally, remove the accelerator cable. Insert the accelerator cable through the dash panel and attach the accelerator cable cover tangs before placing them into position. Place the accelerator cable in the slot of the accelerator pedal lever before installing the retainer into its position on the lever. You should hook the accelerator cable to the throttle body lever before placing it into the accelerator cable bracket slot. While maintaining pressure on the engine sight shield mounting bracket locking tab you should clip the cable onto the generator bracket. Attach the accelerator cable by fitting it through the engine sight shield mounting bracket. Throttle operation should be checked through accelerator pedal manipulation where the carpet installation needs to fit properly below the pedal in addition to measuring throttle movement without binding from a fully closed position to wide open throttle position (WOT). After completing the installation the correct order is to reinstall the left instrument panel insulator followed by the air cleaner assembly and engine cover.

How to replace the throttle cable on GMC Savana 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of accelerator controls cable begins with removing both the engine cover and air cleaner assembly. The first step begins with removing the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever before you remove it from the cable bracket. The first step includes removing the left instrument panel insulator while also disengaging the accelerator cable from its positions on the generator bracket and engine sight shield mounting bracket. The accelerator cable retainer must be dismounted from the accelerator pedal lever after pressing the accelerator cable cover tangs and guiding the cable through the dash panel for removal. To install the accelerator cable users should first feed it into the dash panel then position and click the accelerator cable cover tangs into proper placement. To install the accelerator cable you must pass it through the slot of the accelerator pedal lever then position the retainer inside the lever. First connect the accelerator cable to the throttle body lever before slipping it into the slot on the accelerator cable bracket. Next snap the locking tab for position on the engine sight shield mounting bracket then clip the cable onto the generator bracket. The accelerator cable should be mounted on top of the engine sight shield mounting bracket. The complete throttle function should be tested by operating the accelerator pedal while ensuring carpet clearance under the pedal and throttle movement throughout its entire operating range. Together with the air cleaner assembly and left instrument panel insulator replace the engine cover.
