Take the auxiliary hvac control processor out of its box before it moves onto the next step. Begin the installation process by putting the auxiliary hvac control processor back into the box then reattach the cover to the auxiliary hvac control processor . Secure the auxiliary hvac control processor to the bracket before putting back the auxiliary rear hvac control assembly.

    To replace the auxiliary hvac control processor, remove the assist handles if equipped, followed by wind shield pillar moldings, sun bases, overhead console if equipped, and center pillar garnish moldings. Lower down the front of head liner to reach the auxiliary hvac control processor, disconnect the electricity connector, remove the processor from the headliner. In installation, place the hvac control processor back into the headliner and plug the electrical connector. Raise the front of headliner into place and reinstall garnish moldings, overhead console if equipped, sunshades and glass pillar moldings. Lastly, install the assist handles if present and service the hvac module actuators according to the needed procedures.

    Begin HVAC Control Module replacement by taking out the instrument panel accessory trim plate. The hvac control assembly needs its retaining tabs depressed before releasing it from the instrument panel while disconnecting its electrical connectors. Removal of the hvac control assembly bulb from the assembly requires immediate retention. Finish installing by first adding the hvac control assembly bulb into its position then reconnecting all electrical connectors. First position the hvac control assembly into the instrument panel making sure retaining tabs secure properly before reinstalling the instrument panel accessory trim plate. The hvac module requires actuator calibration as a post-installation step.
