    Q:
How to service the catalytic converter for below 8600 lb (GVWR) on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
You should properly raise and stabilize a vehicle weighing less than 8600 lb gvwr to start removing its Catalytic Converter. After disconnecting the Oxygen Sensor, remove the bolts from the y-pipe flat flange, then get rid of the nuts, studs and seals attached to the y-pipe and Exhaust Manifold. After that, pull out the y-pipe and the Catalytic Converter assembly. First, attach the new seals to the connection between the y-pipe and Catalytic Converter and then fit the studs to the Exhaust Manifold and tighten each one to 22 n.m (16 lb ft). Then, screw the nuts onto the studs in the Exhaust Manifold and tighten each one to a value of 64 n.m (47 lb ft). Mount the y-pipe and assembly for the Catalytic Converter onto the flat flange, add the nuts to the studs and secure them to 64 n.m (47 lb ft). At last, connect the Oxygen Sensor wires, ensure it has enough room and is in the correct position and bring the vehicle back down.

    Q:
How to replace the Exhaust Pipe on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin replacement of the Exhaust Manifold pipe by correctly supporting and elevating the vehicle. First remove the pipe clamp fixing the pipe to the turbo component followed by removal of flange nuts uniting the front Exhaust Pipe manifold and intermediate pipe and then take off the front Exhaust Manifold pipe. The installation method includes usage of fresh flange gaskets and nuts when joining the front Exhaust Manifold pipe to the intermediate pipe before tightening its nuts to 64 nm (47 ft lbs). Install the front Exhaust Manifold pipe to the turbo by using a new clamp while tightening it to 12 nm (106 lb in). Finally, lower the vehicle.

    Q:
How to service and repair the Exhaust Pipe on Chevrolet Tahoe? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step in servicing and repairing the Exhaust Pipe requires users to elevate their vehicle before producing support. Start by removing protective shields when needed before extracting both rear exhaust system and Catalytic Converter from the vehicle. First remove the electrical connector of the Oxygen Sensor and then separate the three nuts at the Exhaust Manifold. The exhaust hanger bracket and the entire front pipe assembly with its exhaust seal need to be detached for service followed by disposal of the seal. Installation requires you to place a fresh exhaust seal on the Exhaust Manifold before installing the front pipe while securing it at the exhaust hanger bracket. Secure the three manifold exhaust nuts by using 50 nm torque value which corresponds to 39 ft. Lbs measurement. Reinstall the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector before placing the Catalytic Converter together with the rear exhaust system into position. The procedure ends with protective shield reinstallments when needed together with safety stand removal and vehicle lowering.
