    A proper support system for the vehicle must be installed when replacing the ABS Control Module. Remove the three EHCU shield bolts from the shield followed by disconnecting the four electrical connectors attached to the ABS Control Module. Remove the EHCU bracket from the frame using the three bolts before extracting the EHCU with caution and without bending any attached brake pipes. Apply gentle force when removing the ABS Control Module from its mounting on the BPMV by taking out its four T-25 Torx bolts. The BPMV requires cleaning with a dry and clean cloth. To install the new ABS Control Module properly onto the BPMV, check for corrosion on mounting bolts and replace them while avoiding the application of RTV or any sealant on ABS Control Module gasket or mating surfaces. Similar to bolt installation on the ABS Control Module, use an X-pattern when tightening the bolts to 5 Nm (39 inch lbs.). Secure the new ABS Control Module using its four connections before installing and securely tightening the EHCU cover through three bolts to 12 Nm (8 ft. lbs.). The vehicle must be lowered before continuing with tire calibration adjustment by using the Scan Tool. Return to the Diagnostic System Check procedure afterward.
