Control Module

The first stage of ABS Control Module replacement demands disconnecting the Battery Cable and securely raising the vehicle. Clear the surrounding space of the electronic hydraulic control unit (EHCU) from loose dust because disassembled abs components can become contaminated but all contaminants must be washed thoroughly from ehcu vicinity. Use medium force when separating the ABS Control Module from the bpmv by removing the mounting screws that attach the ABS Control Module to the bpmv. You must wipe the surfaces that join the bpmv to ABS Control Module using a clean cloth. New screws specifically meant for the new ABS Control Module installation should replace the old screws while avoiding attachment of any sealant to ABS Control Module parts including its gasket and mating surfaces. After mounting the ABS Control Module onto the bpmv select new screws to install them at 5 nm (39 inch lbs.) in an x-pattern. After lowering the vehicle reinstall the negative Battery Cable. The programmer should operate the replacement module when it needs installation. Start by positioning the ignition at on mode before operating the diagnostic system check - vehicle.

The new ABS Control Module should be attached to the bpmv before torquing its screws to 5 nm (39 inch lbs.) in a cross-shaped pattern. Attach the negative cable and lower the car until completion. Installation of a fresh ABS Control Module requires the ignition turned to on while abstaining from engine start followed by completion of diagnostic system check - vehicle.
