    Q:
How to replace the ABS Control Module on Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first stage of ABS Control Module replacement demands disconnecting the Battery Cable and securely raising the vehicle. Clear the surrounding space of the electronic hydraulic control unit (EHCU) from loose dust because disassembled abs components can become contaminated but all contaminants must be washed thoroughly from ehcu vicinity. Use medium force when separating the ABS Control Module from the bpmv by removing the mounting screws that attach the ABS Control Module to the bpmv. You must wipe the surfaces that join the bpmv to ABS Control Module using a clean cloth. New screws specifically meant for the new ABS Control Module installation should replace the old screws while avoiding attachment of any sealant to ABS Control Module parts including its gasket and mating surfaces. After mounting the ABS Control Module onto the bpmv select new screws to install them at 5 nm (39 inch lbs.) in an x-pattern. After lowering the vehicle reinstall the negative Battery Cable. The programmer should operate the replacement module when it needs installation. Start by positioning the ignition at on mode before operating the diagnostic system check - vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the ABS Control Module on Chevrolet Silverado 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Vehicle elevation before starting the replacement process while disconnecting the negative Battery Cable stands as the initial step to change the ABS Control Module. Maintain a clean environment surrounding the electric hydraulic control unit (EHCU) because contamination of abs components combined with dirt should be avoided. The mounting screws of the ABS Control Module must be removed in order to detach it from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) while using delicate hand pressure as needed. Use a clean cloth to wipe clean the areas on which the bpmv mounts to the ABS Control Module. Install the new ABS Control Module while using fresh mounting screws and skip the use of all sealants when working with the ABS Control Module gasket and contact areas. The new ABS Control Module should be attached to the bpmv before torquing its screws to 5 nm (39 inch lbs.) in a cross-shaped pattern. Attach the negative cable and lower the car until completion. Installation of a fresh ABS Control Module requires the ignition turned to on while abstaining from engine start followed by completion of diagnostic system check - vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the ABS Control Module on Chevrolet Silverado 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
As a first step, disconnect the negative Battery Cable and raise and support the vehicle before starting replacement of the ABS Control Module. You should clear all surrounding space around the electronic hydraulic control unit (EHCU) to stop abs component contamination. First represent the brake chassis electrical connectors from the ABS Control Module followed by removing its mounting screws which fasten it to the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). When removing the ABS Control Module from the bpmv handle it with care to prevent damaging the ABS Control Module through abrasion or prying damage. The bpmv electrical connector needs removal from the ABS Control Module before cleaning the mounting surfaces. The bpmv electrical connector should be connected first followed by the installation of the ABS Control Module onto the bpmv. New screws need tightening to 5 nm (39 inch lbs.) in cross pattern fashion to secure the ABS Control Module. Reestablish all ABS Control Module electrical connectors followed by vehicle lowering and negative Battery Cable reinstallation. You should use the scan tool tire size calibration function to finish the tire size calibration process.
