    Q:
How to replace the front brake disc on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the front Brake Disc, first, lift and support the vehicle. Take out the tire and wheel assembly and the bolts of the Brake Caliper Bracket. Without the removal of the brake caliper hose, remove the brake caliper and bracket, supplying the heavy mechanics with wire. Apart from fixing the Brake Disc, mark the relation of Brake Disc with the Wheel Hub if you are reinstalling the same one. Next, unplug the Brake Disc retainers and the brake discs and chuck them away. If you are replacing the Brake Disc, be sure to clean its friction surface using denatured alcohol. Clean any rust or corrosion from the mating surface of the hub/axle flange using the j-42450-a (Wheel Hub Resurfacing Kit) then use the j-41013 (Rotor Resurfacing Kit) and clean the mating surface of the disc to the hub/axle flange. Mount the Brake Disc on the Wheel Hub, align it as indicated in the case of removal if the original disc is going to be reused. At this point, one should install the brake caliper and bracket assembly, and then install the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and tighten them to 160 nm (118 lb ft). Lastly, reinstall the tire and wheel assembly as well as burnishing the brake pads and discs.
